The CORE Gallery's Juried "Dog and Pony" Show

I had put down Su-mie (Chinese brush) painting in favor of a more controlled illustrative style for nearly two years.  When I heard about the CORE's juried animal art show, I thought this would be a great opportunity to get back into Su-mie-styled painting.  My subject is a Low-land Gorilla that I photographed on a recent trip with my wife to the Woodland Park Zoo just north of Seattle. I’m thrilled that the CORE Gallery accepted it into the show and I hope you enjoy it. It sold within the first hour of the show. It will be on display at the gallery until July 27th.
